CREAMY GRATIN POTATOES
Serves 2-4

Rinse the potatoes thoroughly in cold
water, shake them dry in a cloth.

Rub a shallow earthenware dish with
garlic, grease it well with butter and make layers of thinly sliced
potatoes, seasoning each layer.

Pour over the cream and cook for 11/2
hours at 325F/175C/gas mark 3.

During the last 10 minutes turn the oven
up fairly high to get a fine golden crust on the potatoes.
