New Potatoes With Sour Cream

NEW POTATOES WITH SOUR CREAM

This is a Russian dish that is very good with lamb kebabs.

 

Serves 6

  • 2 lb (900 g) new potatoes

  • 1/4 pt (150 ml) sour cream

  • 4 spring onions, finely sliced or 1 small onion, diced and 1 tbs chives.

  • Pinch of salt and pepper

  • 1 tbs fresh dill, chopped

  1. Boil the potatoes in salted water.

  2. Drain and if necessary peel.

  3. Put into a serving dish and pour over the sour cream and spring onions (or onion and chives), season with plenty of pepper and mix thoroughly. Sprinkle with dill and serve.
