Simple Hungarian Creamed Potatoes



Serves 4

  • 11/4 lb (550 g) potatoes

  • 1 oz (25 g) bacon dripping

  • 1/4 pt (150 ml) milk

  • 2 tbs sour cream

  • Pinch of salt and pepper

  1. Boil and mash the potatoes and then stir in the melted fat.

  2. Bring the milk to the boil and whisk into the potatoes gradually.

  3. Season with salt and pepper and mix in the sour cream.
