Pomelo Salad

Pomelo Salad

 

Preparation time: 8 minutes

Serves 2

  • Pomelo or 1 grapefruit, peeled, segmented, membranes removed and segments halved

  • 4 shallots, sliced

  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed dried chilies

  • 2 tablespoons sugar

  • 2 tablespoons vegetarian fish sauce or soy sauce

  • Juice of 2 limes

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  1. Hot this very easy salad, simply place all the ingredients in a bowl and mix together thoroughly.

Note: A pomelo is a green-skinned, pear-shaped citrus fruit larger than a grapefruit. Its flavor is similar to grapefruit, but the flesh is not quite so juicy.
