Pomelo Salad
Preparation time: 8 minutes
Serves 2
Pomelo or 1 grapefruit, peeled,
segmented, membranes removed and segments halved
4 shallots, sliced
1/2 teaspoon crushed dried chilies
2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons vegetarian fish sauce or
soy sauce
Juice of 2 limes
1/4 teaspoon salt
Hot this very easy salad, simply place
all the ingredients in a bowl and mix together thoroughly.
Note: A pomelo is a green-skinned,
pear-shaped citrus fruit larger than a grapefruit. Its flavor is
similar to grapefruit, but the flesh is not quite so juicy.
