How to store and prepare Celery

Fresh, crisp celery stalks will keep in refrigerator up to two weeks. I like to store them in perforated vegetable bags. Limp celery can sometimes be made crisp again by soaking the ribs in ice water for about 30 minutes.

To prepare celery, wash very well, trim the end of the stalk, remove the ribs and cut into desired length. If eating it raw, keep the celery covered in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
