Simple Fried Types of Greens Zucchini Cooking Recipes

Fried Zucchini

 

Substitute these for regular French fries (which originated in Belgium, by the way) and pile them on the plate with hamburgers, hoot long hot dogs, or a thick grilled sirloin steak. Or serve this simple fried types of greens zucchini cooking recipes as a snack with drinks.


Makes 6 to 8 servings

  • 1 cup all purpose flour

  • 1 tablespoons seasoned pepper

  • teaspoon salt

  • 2 pounds smallest types of greens zucchini, trimmed and cut lengthwise into wedges

  • Oil for deep frying

  1. Mix the flour, pepper and salt in a small plastic bag. Shake the zucchini wedges in the flour
    Heat the oil in a deep fat fryer to 375 F.

  2. Fry the zucchini wedges, a few at a time, until golden brown, 2 to 3 minutes per batch. Remove the zucchini from the hot oil with a slotted spoon. Drain on paper towels and season with salt if needed.
